Batman Fights Dirty

This fan film, brought to us from Chris' Invincible Super Blog (via BoingBoing), is hilarious. I am not sure how seriously to take this. It is obviously a spoof type film and yet they seem to be taking it oddly serious. Regardless, it was much better than that Batman flik with Val Kilmer.

The Travel Channel Loves User Gen

The travel channel is taking most of the current trends in User Generated Content and Media. Flickr like sharing of photos, YouTubey get your travel film on the their channel and if you don't like their commercial? Remix it for them. I mean i like sharing my trip photos with friends, but this may be taking it too far. On the other hand, Branson, Missouri does have a lot to offer the average American.

The often banned BoingBoing points us to The Blasphemy Challenge. TBC is offering 1001 free copies of a DVD entitled The God Who Wasn't There. All ya have to do in order to get your copy is a simple thing like record a video of you denying the Holy Spirit and sending it to YouTube [sidenote: does god watch YouTube? Does he/she use Firefox?].

Text Messaging Is The New Competitive Eating

The next entrant in the 'I never knew this was a skill and I can make money at it' category is ... drum roll ... Text Messaging (TM for shortcode). I was at the event and I must say, the girl who took home prize was adorable and deserving of the title, and it was actually more fun and suspense than I thought it would be so kudos to LG. Morgan Pozgar took home 25K (and her brother won a 50" flatscreen in the same competition) for having the fastest fingers in the east. She beat many other contestants, all of whom seemed to live and die by the qwerty.

Are we going to have training camps for text messaging? Scores of youth, working their fingers to the bone to see who can text CU L8R, LUL!! (LUL=Love You Lots i just learned) the quickest? Well I for one, hope so. Gotta give them kids something to look forward to now that all the manufacturing jobs are gone.
