Well they did it again. Virgin Money wanted to put their ad into the hands of consumers. Granted those 'consumers' were users on the raunchy british humour site B3TA. And guess what? The users created raunchy ad images bordering on the illegal. Even forward thinking brands like Virgin have to unsderstand that if you put your ads in the context of the bawdy, you will get the bawdy. I am not sure why they thought they would get something else. As B3TA put it:

Compo winners announced!
Last week we ran an image competition with Virgin Money, and to be honest it all went a bit mental. You lot made lots of rude images and the client pulled the challenge. This caused a small media shit storm and ended up in the papers. Anyway, all's well that ends well as Virgin got loads of publicity and we got a little bit of positive press for the Sick Joke Book. Funny how things turn out.
